Comments

When visitors to our websites leave comments on our blogs or articles, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitors IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on any of our websites, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We will NEVER sell, rent or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your personal information is shared with our trusted third-party service providers to either make the service possible or to enhance your customer experience.

Our sub-processor partners are:

  • Microsoft – Email, One Drive

We require all sub-processor partners to whom we transfer your personal information to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law and they are all fully GDPR Compliant.

We will disclose your Personal Information to third parties or public officials when we are legally obliged to do so.

How we secure your Personal Information

All our websites are set up securely and use the HTTPS security protocol. All information to and from our websites is therefore transmitted securely and is encrypted. We have software in place to monitor our website for possible vulnerabilities and attacks.

All our websites are scanned for potential malware and vulnerabilities by Sucuri’s SiteCheck. We do not send personal information to Sucuri; however, Sucuri could find personal information posted publicly (such as in comments) during their scan. Security logs are retained for 14 days.

This website site is part of a network of sites that protect against distributed brute force attacks. To enable this protection, the IP address of visitors attempting to log into the site is shared with a service provided byithemes.com. We do NOT hold sensitive payment information on any of our servers or systems. If you purchase a product or service from us, your card/payment information is NOT held by us. All our IT hardware is kept fully up to date with the relevant security patches and updates from the manufacturer.

When you give us your personal information, we have put in place security measures to prevent this information from being accidentally lost, used, altered, disclosed, or accessed without authorisation.

Even though we try our best we can not guarantee the security of your information. However, we will notify suitable authorities of any data breaches. We will also notify you if there is a threat to your rights or interests. We will do everything we reasonably can to prevent security breaches and to assist authorities should any breaches occur.

Your Legal Rights

You will need to provide us with a suitable Photographic ID as evidence of who you are.

There is no charge for this (unless we believe the request is manifestly unfounded, repetitive or excessive and then you will be charged a small fee) and we will get the information to you, in a form you can use, within 28 days.

If you wish for the personal information we hold to be permanently deleted, please contact our data controller. You will need to provide us with a suitable Photographic ID as evidence of who you are.
